AI Evolution: Recent Advances in Copyright and Generative AI Webinar image

This webinar will discuss the recent legal developments concerning Generative AI. The panel will discuss the current state of the law concerning the right of AI developers to use content to train AI models, and whether such use requires a license or is considered a Fair Use under copyright principles. This will include a review of some of the recently filed cases considering those issues, including suits by the Author’s Guild against Open AI and the lawsuit by the New York Times against Open AI and Microsoft and similar cases in the EU.  The current state of the availability of copyright protection for AI generated content will be covered. The panel will also address some of the recent business developments concerning the use of AI in both the gaming industry and in other entertainment contexts.
